DID and the Desjardins Fund for Inclusive Finance have just made a joint loan worth US $1.5 million to the Fundación para el Desarollo Integral ESPOIR in Ecuador. The loan will allow ESPOIR to finance expansion and gain leverage enabling it to approach new investment partners.

Développement international Desjardins (DID) has just launched a new program aimed at expanding access to financial services in developing countries. Entitled Growth and prosperity: the poor participate in economic growth through access to inclusive financial services, this program consists of ten major projects targeting some twenty countries. The program is being undertaken in collaboration with the Partnerships with Canadians Branch (PWCB) of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
